We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in
Rheumatology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior
Sister/Charge Nurse with experience or a keen interest in Rheumatology to
support the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.You will be
expected to manage a small team of nursing and support staff within
Rheumatology Day Case and Out Patients areas.
Main duties of the job
Providing day to day clinical leadership for the nursing team and support staff within the Day Case and Out Patient areas adminsitering care and treatment to Rheumatology patients.

Main duties of the Band 6 role:
To maintain high standards of patient care, and ensure patient needs are met by all members of staff within the department, through effective leadership skills. To act as a good role model to junior members of the team and any students within the department.
To manage the Rheumatology day case and outpatient department.
- Assess patients, ensuring they are suitable for treatment, prior to their treatment commencing within the nurse led day case unit.
- Check prescriptions for patients, ensuring they are correct and that the correct drug has been ordered and arrived.
- Monitor blood parameters for patients undergoing treatment, ensure any concerns are escalated.
