Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy yet friendly Women's & Children's Division as a Directorate Support Officer. This post is a supportive role to the wider Operational Team and you will be focusing attention in all areas of directorate performance and patient waiting list management. You will also be responsible for managing a team of admin and secretarial staff across the directorate. This is a full time position worked over 5 days Monday to Friday and you will be primarily based at Worcester Royal Hospital although we do have teams both at Kidderminster and Redditch so some cross site travel will be required.

Main duties of the job

Main duties will include;

Monitor key performance against all national KPI targets

Manage both outpatient & inpatient waiting lists by validating patient pathways following and applying the Trust Access Policy

Monitor theatre and outpatient clinic utilisation escalating gaps where necessary and creating extra capacity to cope with changing demand

Work closely with medical secretaries in prioritising patients

Support the directorate and divisional teams as directed
