Job summary

We have created a new post to support the delivery of our NHS Talking Therapies Service in Essex. We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Scanning and Quality Assurance Clerk to join our team in ensuring that historic and current clinical records are archived properly, securely and in alignment with Trust and GDP guidelines.

The postholder will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Trust's electronic patient record (EPR) remain accurate, complete, and legally compliant, directly supporting patient safety and effective clinical decision-making. By maintaining high standards in document handling and electronic record-keeping, you will support our Clinicians and Healthcare professionals access timely and accurate patient information, an aspect ultimately contributing to the improvement of patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a consistently high standard of scanning to enable clinicians and other healthcare professionals access to accurate, up to date and timely electronic data regarding their patients.
  • To quality check documents ensuring these documents have been scanned to the appropriate document types in order for clinicians to easily retrieve when needed and to report back on the findings.
  • To ensure that information captured in paper form is correctly indexed at the point of scanning and can easily be retrieved from the UEPR system when needed.
