EPUNFT have an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 3 Administration Officer

We are seeking a motivated and organised adminsitrator . This is a full-time role supporting a busy clinical service, providing high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the servce including appointment management, correspondence, data entry, and general office duties

Main duties of the job

To provide a range of administrative, referral management and medical secretarial support to the WECPS. To receive, co-ordinate and manage GP and Specialist referrals (manual and electronic) for review by clinicians ensuring that waiting time targets are met.

You will be required to handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls from patients and relatives as well as clinical staff. Responding in a polite and efficient manner, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Record accurate messages and follow them up appropriately in accordance to department guidelines. Registering new patients and referrals onto Systmone Management of outpatient clinic bookings for the team.

You will be required to handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls to call from Patients Receive and deal with telephone enquiries, responding appropriately to callers including high risk, abusive, threatening, depressed, suicidal and vulnerable clients and carers. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Record accurate messages and follow them up appropriately in accordance to department guidelines.

To exchange confidential, sensitive information with staff, patients/clients, and carers in person or on the telephone. The unpredictability of clients means that persuasive, reassuring, empathic, skills are required at all times.

Deal with queries raised by patients, relatives, GPs or other healthcare professionals both internally and externally to the Trust. These are often of a non-routine nature and involving complex issues such as medication and other clinical treatments where there are barriers to understanding due to the nature of the client group.
