Job summary

We are advertising for a part time (2 days per week) Employment & Education Advisor within the ARMS South East Service at Band 4. The service is a multi-disciplinary team and you will be working closely with your colleagues to provide opportunities for service users to re-engage with pathways to employment and vocational opportunities.

Main duties of the job

To manage a caseload of people who have experienced mental health distress who wish to retain and or gain paid employment through delivering a range of approaches including the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach to vocational rehabilitation. The post holder will work directly with mainstream educational providers and employers to secure education/employment opportunities for service users whilst providing on-going support. They will meet regularly with MDT Colleagues to co-ordinate and integrate vocational services into the recovery plan. The post holder will also prepare individuals for employment through assessing each person's individual educational/ employment needs through vocational profiling.
