Job summary
Therapy For You (NHS Talking Therapies) provides the primary care Improving Access to Psychological Therapy services across south east and north east Essex working with clients presenting with a range of anxiety and depression related problems.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated NHS Talking Therapies qualified practitioner to apply for the position of Service Lead within our busy services based in South East Essex to offer temporary interim support within the senior management structure.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will hold a clinical caseload and work within a large team that includes PWPs, cognitive behavioural therapists, IPT therapists, DIT therapists and couples counselling therapists. The post holder will be responsible for managing staff within a designated locality and will be responsible for co-ordinating services within their locality as well as for the day to day operational management of the team. This is a demanding but well supported position.
We are committed to providing an out of hours service to the community and this involves working some evenings or weekends. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

Essential
- A recorded/registered qualification at graduate level in Cognitive Behaviour therapy
- Evidence using the career framework of training in mental health and experience working in a stepped care service for anxiety and depression
Desirable
- Accreditation or registration with a professional body e.g. BPS, BABCP, BACP
- Qualification at Masters level
- Evidence of training in Management
- Qualification in NHS TT compliant CBT supervision

Essential
- Significant experience, ideally minimum 2 years post qualification, of working with people with common mental health problems in an NHS TT primary care mental health setting.
- Ability to demonstrate a range of post-qualifying experiences (Min 2 years) in offering and delivering the range of evidence-based NHS TT interventions.

- Demonstrates high standards in written communication with ability to write clear reports and letters to referrers, complainants and other service providers
- Experience of working in an NHS TT Service at a senior level
