Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Mid Essex Stroke team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach to join our Mid Essex Stroke Administration Team as an Administration Assistant. The successful candidate will work alongside a job share to support the clinical teams ensuring that our patients have a first class service from the moment they make contact with the service. The post will be both office and home based so a flexible approach to work is key. The successful applicant will possess excellent administration skills including typing skills and knowledge of the Microsoft office programmes. Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential. Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be motivated, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team. Experience typing and/or keyboard skills are essential to the role. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively and have previous experience working in an administrative setting. As part of the role you will be dealing with telephone/email queries, postal duties, making any follow up appointments as required and taking minutes for meetings as and when required. The post is a job share role and is being advertised for 22.5 hours per week (Monday Tuesday, Friday) You will be expected to work from the office base two days a week (Cherry Trees, St Peter's Hospital) and one day working from home.
