Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to develop their skills in working with people experiencing a first episode of psychosis in the North East Essex Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team. The service works with people from 14-65 years old and their families and networks, taking a whole team approach to support clients for up to three years.
The EIP team is a supportive multi-disciplinary team which encourages professional development through regular training and supervision. We have strong links with colleagues across the psychology directorate, with other EIP teams locally and nationally. The principles of early intervention and the evidence upon which these are based are central to the work we do and underpin the way the team continues to develop.
Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Psychologist you will directly and indirectly support and enhance the professional psychological care of adults and young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis, supporting psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a senior practitioner psychologist. There will be the opportunity to assist in conducting individual, family and group interventions, consultation, and staff training. The post holder will assist the psychology team in collecting feedback and data and evaluating outcomes of psychological interventions. We also have an active lived experience consultation group which we would be keen for the post holder to be a part of.
