Pharmacy Support Worker
Band 3
Hours - 37.5 hours per week
Location - Chelmsford - Chelford Court
You could be part of a dynamic and enthusiastic pharmacy team in Chelmsford as they provide pharmacy services to our hospitals and units throughout Essex. EPUT Pharmacy are looking for an individual subscribes to our core values of 'We Care, We Learn and We Empower.'
The successful candidate would have knowledge and skills to undertake the mandatory units for an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services. Full training and support will be provided for candidates who have not already undertaken this training.
Previous experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy would be an advantage, but not essential. The ability to travel across the EPUT Region is a necessity as part of this job role.
The post involves working alongside our clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide integrated pharmaceutical care for service users in the Trust to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective use of medicines
Main duties of the job
- To provide support services to the Pharmacy department including the ordering, receipt, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals and other stock items, and dispensing individual patient prescriptions.
- To participate as an active member of specific ward / unit / clinical teams, and support the safe and effective use of medicines.
- To contribute to the pharmacy service to specific wards / units / clinical teams.
