Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic CBT Therapist / Psychological Therapist / Clinical / Counselling Psychologist.

You will need have had accredited training as well as current registration with an appropriate body such as HCPC, BABCP. We encourage core professions such as Nursing/OT with the requisite therapy training and accreditation to apply. You will be working alongside other qualified Psychologists and therapists to deliver formulation based individual and group interventions for young people in the North East Essex Area.

This post is 1 wte Band 7 in a newly created 18-25s psychological therapy service. This is an exciting time to be able to develop and build an innovative new service and to work alongside experts by experience in co-design and development. The service aims to enable access to evidence based therapies for young people who have mental health difficulties whose needs would not require them to enter a secondary care mental health team, but whose difficulties are too complex for our IAPT services.

There is a high standard of in house specialist supervision available to support new and existing skills in models such as CBT/EMDR/CFT/DBT.

Main duties of the job

Duties include provision of one to one and group evidence based psychological therapies, supervision of colleagues and students/trainees, consultation to other organisations, and alliance working across with community partners.

You will join a Psychology Directorate that has had significant investment and is led by a Clinical Director of Psychological Services providing robust governance and support of EPUT psychologists. EPUT Psychological Services provide extensive community Adult Mental Health, In-Patient, and EIP, Secure & Forensic, Clinical Health, Asperger's and Learning Disabilities services across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex, so you will join an enthusiastic and diverse team of Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists, CBT therapists, and Psychotherapists and Family Systemic Psychotherapists.

The Services enjoys good links with University of Essex.
