Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate to join our Operational Productivity Team on a 12 month fixed term/secondment. The role will be assisting one of our Productivity Coordinators in monitoring Community Mental Health Teams and the Vaccination Team KPI's and will be an opportunity to learn more about the running of the Trust and to gain more of an insight of Trust Key performance indicators. There will be opportunities to work on projects and on your own initiative to develop performance improvement systems.

Main duties of the job

  1. Assist with the maintenance of reporting mechanisms including the databases and reports.
  2. Validation of Ad-Hoc information from various performance reports.
  3. The post-holder will have access to sensitive data and may be required to summarise this before discussions with the Operational Productivity Lead.
  4. Maintain an advanced working knowledge of the following software applications: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  5. Maintain knowledge of the use of the Trust's Information system.
  6. Develop an understanding of NHS data definitions and guidelines defined in the data dictionary.
  7. Develop an understanding of the administration processes in the clinical departments involved during a patient's journey through the Trust, e.g. CAS, Outpatients Clinics, Ward Activity.
  8. Assist the Trust wide Operational Productivity Team on a day-to-day basis the data validation processes and to update/correct errors where required and to ensure that all data validation logs are clear and to work closely with clinical departments to ensure the accuracy of the data to address any data quality issues.
  9. To assist in the daily identification of any duplicate records held on the information system.
  10. Communicate with internal and external individuals or groups.
  11. To adhere to the Productivity Team procedures, processes and standards relating to how the work of the Team is undertaken.
  12. To assist the Productivity Operational Lead in ensuring that Trust targets are met.

  4. Use VDU equipment every day.
  5. Due to the nature of the services for which the Post-holder is working it is essential that the Post-holder is able to deal appropriately with exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  6. It may be necessary for the post holder to visit Mental Health Inpatient wards and Community mental health teams to assist where necessary.
