Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, organised and adaptable person to be based within the PCN team at the Linden centre, Chelmsford. You should be able to multi task, deal with patients who may be aggressive and be able to stay calm in difficult situations. You will be required to cover other administrative roles during times of leave/staff shortages.
Main duties of the job
Some of the main responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to; answering calls via phone, monitoring email accounts for work and processing messages appropriately, typing letters, monitoring a tracker, writing notes for MDT meetings, updating clinical systems, covering various other administrative duties including reception desks within the admin hub. To be able to use Microsoft packages is essential. Full training will be given for our Trust database system.

Mid Essex Administration team is a large sizeteam providing service to the Mid Essex area. We are highly motivated to provide a professional, efficient and effective service. Our administration team is responsible for the provision of effective clinical and non-clinical administrative support within the service for the multi-disciplinary teams. You would provide support primarily for the clinicians and general administrative duties and responsibilities. - The service will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using Trust information systems.
- The service will require a team approach to ensure cover for absence across all services / locations.
- Post holders, as appropriate, will be required to provide administration duties on behalf of these services.
- Due to the nature of the role a strong emphasis is placed on safeguarding confidentiality and this forms a pre-requisite for every Administration Assistant / Ward Clerk.
- The Post Holder will be required to work on a rota system to cover core office hours, where appropriate across the Mid Teams.
