Job summary
- The post holder will contribute to the provision of health within Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, by completing an apprenticeship training Programme, with the aim of qualifying as an Electrician with HNC, over a 4 year period.
- Following established procedures, the post holder will work under the direction and supervision of the Site Works supervisor/ Team Leader
Main duties of the job
- The Post holder will be expected to attend the training provider's establishment as part of the apprentice training on a part time, day, or block release basis and to ensure that all deadlines for the submitting of work, portfolios, and assignments are delivered on time.
- The Post holder will be required to become suitably knowledgeable in all aspects of the taught apprenticeship, leading to the successful completion of both NVQ2 & NVQ3 including the HNC National Certificate/Diploma provided by the College
- To undertake all training and education required as part of the apprenticeship.
- To carry out continued electrical services maintenance under the supervision of a qualified engineer, until such time that qualification allows unsupervised work.
- Using knowledge acquired during training, develop the skills necessary to undertake problem solving on complex medical and non-medical equipment, diagnosing faults correctly and undertaking the appropriate remedial action based on one's own assessment and judgement.
