Job summary
We are very excited to request applicants for a Band 7 CBT Therapist post. This post will be within our existing EIP service but specifically aimed at working with people who are identified as being at risk of developing Psychosis, known as an 'at risk mental state' ARMS. This is a community post covering the NW Essex area including Stansted, Harlow, Loughton and Epping.
Main duties of the job
The NICE guidance recommends that those at risk of developing psychosis be offered CBT with or without Family Intervention. The ARMS CBT therapist will work closely with primary care referrers and the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and aims to prevent or delay transition to a first episode of psychosis.

The psychological therapists are an integral part of the EIP & ARMS multi-disciplinary team. Key responsibilities would include undertaking assessments, developing formulations, delivering evidence based interventions, supporting the team with auditing activities, developing intervention packages, and supervising and training colleagues. As it is a new role there is significant scope for innovation in contributing to developing the service.
