Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurses/Registered Mental Health Nurses within the Recovery and Wellbeing Team. We are recruiting 4.0 WTE positions to join the team. The service is based centrally, in the City of Southend at The Taylor Centre, with parking available as well as easy links to bus and train services.

The Recovery and Wellbeing team is a large, busy, multi-disciplinary team consisting of Team/Clinical Leads, Independent Non-Medical Nurse Prescriber, Senior Social Work Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists as well as a large complement of Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers and Support Workers.

Main duties of the job

The roles are as Care Coordinators carrying out the assessment and coordination of care needs, planning and implementation of evidence based care to a defined group of service users and their carers within the City of Southend.

The post holder will also provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team, as well as acting as a role model and resource for junior/less experienced staff.

There is also a requirement to carry out routine assessments and support the team Duty function.
