Are you an experienced clinician with a passion for Safeguarding Children?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Named Professional to join the Safeguarding Team for 30 hours per week.
This post will be permanent.
The applicant will have a Registered Nurse qualification and RSCN or Registered Adult/Child Branch and Specialist Community Public Health qualification. You will be Educated to degree level or equivalent with a good knowledge of children and Young People's legislation and have experience of delivering supervision and training. Experience of working within a Mental Health Trust would be desirable and the ability to demonstrate a Think Family approach to delivering safeguarding is essential as the team adopt an integrated approach.
Main duties of the job
Knowledge of safeguarding adults will be required.
If you are committed to the improvement of health outcomes for vulnerable children and young people, approachable, a good communicator and listener, passionate about young people, are ready to go the extra mile on their behalf and you are a good team player we would like to hear from you.
You need to be able to work autonomously, organise your workload, maintain accurate records and should be innovative and forward thinking in your approach.
You will be required to provide advice to multidisciplinary teams across the Trust ensuring that all staff who are in contact with children and young people are supported and developed in promoting the welfare of children and ensuring their safety.
In addition you will be required to line manage members of the Safeguarding and Looked After Children Team.

- Will assist the Associate Director for Safeguarding in ensuring the organisation meets its statutory responsibilities for safeguarding children and adults.
- Will be responsible for undertaking the Named Nurse role for safeguarding children to ensure the organisation discharges its statutory responsibilities.

- Will provide advice, support and supervision on safeguarding issues for the organisation or other health service providers and agencies.
