Job summary

An exciting opportunity become available within the Adult Community Health Services for an Operational Admin Lead. The post holder will support the Specialist Outpatient Services in Newham. These services include the Musculoskeletal Services (MSK), Patient Appliance Service, Community Neuro Service, Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab and the Speech and Language Team. This is a key role developing, implementing and overseeing performance management across the services, working with the Deputy Head of Specialist Outpatient Services and the relevant Service/Team Leads. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the development, coordination and oversight of the administration services.

Main duties of the job

To be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team the post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the clinical service and administrative function and providing senior administrative support to the Service Manager.

  • In depth experience of theoretical study of techniques/processes e.g. BTEC or relevant degree
  • RSA III or equivalent experience
  • European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent experience

  • Experience of working in a clinical setting, supporting medical, nursing and clerical staff
  • Experience of arranging complex conferences/seminars and large meetings
  • Expert Knowledge of IT Systems in particular Microsoft Office software packages
  • Experience of managing databases

  • Experience of preparation of reports, minute taking and formatting documents, together with setting agendas and distribution of associated papers

  • Able to prioritise and plan work in a busy environment and to tight deadlines
  • Able to delegate where appropriate and plan other staffs workload
  • Ability to type up minutes/notes in real time
  • Well developed office management skills, including the review and/or setting up of office systems
