Job summary

The Professional Lead Nurse for Inclusion Health will provide senior clinical, professional and strategic nursing leadership across the Primary Care Inclusion Health Directorate.

The post-holder will work closely with the Associate Director of Primary Care, Director of Nursing, Lead GPs, and service managers to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective care for people experiencing homelessness and health inclusion barriers.

They will provide leadership to senior nurses, ACPs and Nurse Managers, strengthen clinical governance, support workforce planning, lead quality improvement, and ensure CQC compliance across all Inclusion Health services.

This is a key leadership role within the senior management team, supporting service transformation, neighbourhood working, and delivery of Trust and ICB priorities.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:

  • Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing staff across Inclusion Health services

  • Deliver supervision and support to senior nurses, ACPs and Nurse Managers

  • Lead on clinical governance, patient safety, incident management, and CQC readiness

  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and safe staffing

  • Lead quality improvement and service development programmes

  • Oversee complaints, audits, and learning from incidents

  • Support neighbourhood working and partnership with PCNs and local services

  • Contribute to service transformation, business cases, and strategic planning

  • Deputise for the Associate Director as required

Clinical and Professional Leadership
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership to all nursing staff across Inclusion Health services

  • Deliver supervision and professional oversight to Senior Nurses, ACPs and Nurse Managers

  • Strengthen nursing leadership capability and promote continuous professional development

  • Ensure NMC registration, revalidation and professional standards are maintained
