Safety Intervention Trainer

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the London Safety Intervention (SI) team. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Safety Intervention trainer at Agenda for Change band 5. Train the trainer training will be provided to the successful candidate

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on continuous development and improvement of SI training and to assist clinical teams in providing high quality care to service users in a least restrictive manner.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties

To support an adequate programme of SI courses

To assist in maintaining an up-to-date database of staff attendance on SI courses.

Organise and facilitate a range of SI courses, safely and effectively in line with Health & Safety legislation, Trust values and Restraint Reduction Network Training Starndards.

To be involved in continual professional development

The Safety Intervention team

This is a vibrant team covering London, Luton and Bedford areas in providing a variety of non-restrictive and restrictive training programmes to staff working in different client group services. The team's aim is to provide quality participatory training that is respectful and responds to clinical area needs.

The London and Bedford teams work closely together. Our mission is to make a positive difference to service users by providing training that is focused on least restrictive and trauma responsive approaches
