Candidate Profile

We are looking for a dynamic Medical Staffing and Medical Education Leader who is passionate about creating positive, inclusive workplaces and driving high-quality, people-centered services. The successful applicant will demonstrate:

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will:

    • Provide authoritative and accessible leadership across all Directorates.
    • Ensure that medical education and medical staffing teams, including administrative support, clinical and educational supervisors, and clinical directors, work together in a co-operative and integrated way.
    • Support the strategic development of medical staffing People & Culture services and medical education, offering specialist medical training knowledge and leadership to the medical administration team.
    • Provide guidance and management support to the Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) and Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) Committees, Joint Local Negotiating Committee (JLNC), Director of Medical Education, Undergraduate Leads, and local Training Programme Directors (TPDs).
    • Focus on the interpretation and implementation of national policies, terms and conditions, and current legislation relating to medical education, medical staffing, and service level agreements
