Job summary
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Community Health Services, the post holder will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team. They will be accountable for the delivery of the Place based Operational, Performance, Quality and financial performance of services. They will be responsible for the effective management of human resource, financial resource, quality and governance across the designated service lines.
The Head of Clinical Services will work collaboratively with the Deputy Director, Clinical Director and Professional Leadership team to drive and deliver excellent integrated clinical care pathways, and provide a highly visible, accessible presence to ensure the smooth and safe day-to-day running of services and maintaining good staff and patient experience.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will hold responsibility for the effective management of human resource, financial resource, governance and business planning arrangements across the service lines.
- The post holder will lead in the implementation of patient centered clinical operational strategy, working in partnership with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the delivery of the Trusts corporate objectives and transformation programmes including Quality Improvement. Ensure collaboration between services to support quality improvements and collective achievement of performance standards incorporating quality, safety, contractual, access, financial and workforce.
- Lead by example and act at all times as an ambassador for the Trust, championing the Trusts values and upholding the highest standards of behaviour and compassion for colleagues.
- The post holder will hold responsibility together with the Professional leads for the implementation of the Professional (AHP and nursing) Strategy, Quality Strategy and associated strategy involving clinical pathway and development for service line areas.
- The Head of Clinical Services will Work in collaboration with the Deputy Director, Professional Leads, Clinical Director and leads, integrated care system colleagues to transform end to end pathways of care, adopting new ways of working and innovation.
- Deputise for the Deputy Director and Professional lead as appropriate at local and regional meetings as required.
