Specialist CAMHS Practitioner - Emotional & Behavioural Team

Band 7 (B6 Practitioners soon to qualify are welcome to apply)- 3 days, Fixed Term 1 Year.

This post will provide a specialist service within City and Hackney CAMHS to young people and their families. This is a community-based 3 day, 1 year fixed term post, located within the Emotional and Behavioural Pathway (E&B) for intervention (2 days) and within the neuro-developmental pathway (NDT) for Specialist Assessment (1 day). The post holder will offer flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessment and treatment with a focus on providing services to young people with neuro-developmental needs. The post holder will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary teams. The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit. The post holder will play a direct role in Quality Improvement (QI) and audit projects as necessary.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an experienced clinician with knowledge of the field of child and adolescent mental health.The post holder will possess strong engagement skills, the ability to work creatively in relation to complex emotional and behavioural needs, and work effectively with complex multi-agency networks.
