Job summary
  TMS (Transcranial magnetic stimulation) is a treatment for people with Major Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD). TRD is the term to describe people with depression for whom standard treatments with antidepressants and psychological therapies have been unsuccessful. This form of depression is chronic and difficult to treat; it often requires inpatient carer often sometimes for an extended period.
  The Tower Hamlets Neuromodulation Team is an outpatient service that provides direct care to a Service Users. The Clinic works with Consultants, NMHT's, Wards, HTT across the borough as well as private patients and others service providers across the North East London Integrated care system.
  The Clinic is responsible for ensuring high standards of care for this Service User group. In order to provide the highest standards and safest care for this client group care is standardized and centralized in order to ensure that all care is managed within a proactive specialist environment. 
  Within the Clinic environment the following is carried out:
 Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS):
   - Assessing patients for Depression 
- Assessing patient suitability and consenting patients for TMS. 
- Coorinating the new referrals and maintaining up-to-date data on patients open to the team.
- Delivering TMS to patients who are on the caseload. 
- Supervising TMS being delivered by Band 4 colleagues
Main duties of the job
    - Provide clinical leadership and developments in nursing practice for TMS within East London Foundation Trust (ELFT). 
- Provide a visible and accessible presence within the TMS setting within ELFT. 
- Work with the Senior Operational lead/ Consultant in reviewing and implementing policies and best practice. 
- To take a dynamic role within the TMS service to maximise the contribution that the recovery model, values and evidence based nursing makes to the service user journey. 
- The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to achieve outcome targets.
