The primary purpose of the Quality Improvement (QI) department is to nurture an improvement culture that involves everyone to achieve this mission. The team's work includes engaging, encouraging and inspiring people inside and outside the organisation around improvement, helping people build and also use improvement skills, ensuring there is support for those undertaking improvement efforts and overseeing continuous improvement through a mixture of QI projects as well as the use of QI tools.

The QI Programme Support Officer will have a pivotal role within the QI department. The post holder will be involved in supporting the effective planning, co-ordination and delivery of the department's strategic objectives, activities and projects. This will involve clerical or administrative support, developing and implementing processes, and providing support to deliver learning and engagement events, and provide essential programme support across the QI Department.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities of the role will be to:

  1. To provide project support to a variety of short, medium and long term projects using project management principles
  2. To provide event management and logistical support to the annual programme of QI learning and engagement events.
  3. To provide programme and operational support for the ELFT QI Department

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, adaptable environment

  • Experience of complex diary management/ management and facilitation of large-scale complex meetings and events
  • Demonstrating experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and providing information and advice
  • Previous demonstrable experience of data collection, presentation and report writing
