Main duties of the job

Who are we looking for?

We are aiming to recruit a part time High Intensity CBT Therapist to join our creative and high performing team!

You will work alongside professionals from various clinical approaches trained in modalities such as guided self-help, EMDR, IPT, DIT, CfD, BCT and more! We also have a dedicated team working with physical health related problems and long-term conditions; this offers many opportunities to work within other internal teams.

You would also hold a small caseload of face-to-face clients and offer the majority of your clinical work via video and telephone. Currently our staff are attending our clinical buildings one day a week and then working the rest of the week at home, this would be continually reviewed in line with our clinical demands.

Our service runs Monday to Friday (8am to 8pm) and you will be required to work 12-8 on one day per week.

This post is offered as Band 7 full time or part time (3 days minimum with 1 evening a week working 12pm-8pm. We currently offer blended working; working from both home and from the office. This is subject to change in line with service needs.

We welcome applications from CBT therapists due to complete their training.

Education/ Qualification/ Training

Essential

  • HCPC registered Counselling or Clinical Psychologist (eligible for BABCP accreditation) OR
  • Psychological Therapist/High Intensity therapist (CBT) with a core mental health training e.g. nursing, social work, accredited and registered by BABCP, UKCP and HPC
  • All applicants must be BABCP accredited or eligible to apply for accreditation within 6 months. CBT trainee therapists must complete their training with 3 months of our offer and a band 6 position would be offered initially.On confirmation of passing the relevant CBT training course a band 7 position would be offered. If the completion of the course does not occur within 3 months of the offer, we would close the contract.

Desirable

  • Relevant specialist trainings or qualifications in other High Intensity Therapies and accreditation with professional body
  • Training or qualification in providing CBT in group formats.
  • Training or qualification in providing LTC treatment.
  • 2 years post qualification experience

  • Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety disorders and depression and how these problems may present in Primary Care
