Band 7 full time or part time (3 days minimum with 1 evening a week working 12pm-8pm).

Main duties of the job

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for qualified and accredited Psychotherapists or Clinical/Counselling Psychologists and are keen to hear from clinicians who are trained and accredited to to practice at least one of the following NICE recommended high intensity therapies: Couples Therapy for Depression, Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). We also value experience or interest in delivering therapy in a group format. The post-holder will have relevant professional registration (HCPC- registered practitioner psychologist or UKCP/BACP - full clinical membership or BPC-fully trained in DIT).

The post holder will be part of a very dynamic team and will also work alongside therapists trained in a range of other therapies including EMDR, CBT, BCT, and a well- established PWP team. As well as offering a range of Step 2 and Step 3 NICE recommended interventions, the service also runs as a training centre in collaboration with Clinical and Counselling Psychology Doctoral Programmes, therefore offering opportunities for supervision and training.

NTT is committed to the progression of our team members and our posts are formulated to allow for development of clinical expertise in specialist areas of interest in keeping with service needs and development. The post-holder will receive regular supervision from experienced clinicians and there will be opportunities to attend various in-house CPD events. Our service is also committed to ensuring a healthy work life balance and creating and maintaining a positive working environment.

You would a caseload of telephone/video clients along with a small caseload of face-to-face. Currently our staff are attending our clinics one day a week and then working the rest of the week at home, this would be continually reviewed in line with our clinical demands.

  • We fully welcome applications from those wishing to do part time or flexible hours. Our service runs Monday to Thursday (8am to 8pm) and Friday (8am to 5pm). You would be able to nominate your preferred working hours and we would ask you to work a minimum of one evening a week.

You will work alongside professionals from various clinical approaches trained in modalities such as guided self-help, EMDR, IPT, DIT, CfD, BCT and more! We also have a dedicated team working with physical health related problems and long-term conditions; this offers many opportunities to work within other internal teams.

You would also hold a small caseload of face-to-face clients and offer the majority of your clinical work via video and telephone. Currently our staff are attending our clinical buildings one day a week and then working the rest of the week at home, this would be continually reviewed inline with our clinical demands.
