Job summary
This is a full-time position within Tower Hamlets CAMHS. This is a community-based post located with 6 sessions within our ADHD pathway and 4 sessions within our Triage Team of Tower Hamlets CAMHS. There will also be opportunities for generic and specialist assessments across both teams, and we are happy to support applicants to gain the experience and skills needed to succeed in this role.
Tower Hamlets Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is based in Whitechapel, East London. In line with Trust policy, the service has adopted a hybrid clinical working model of direct face-to-face and remote working as appropriate. The service embraces continual improvement and the wellbeing of staff and has a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement and working together with partner agencies to provide the highest quality service to the population we serve.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be expected to:
- To offer assessment and flexible, evidence-based and outcome focused episodes of care and interventions to children/young people and families within the ADHD pathway.
- Within the Triage team, assist our service users in moving smoothly through the referral, treatment and discharge processes within the Tower Hamlets CAMHS service and to and from other services in their designated Borough. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that families experience ease of entry to and a seamless transition between services, and that they feel supported to access the right service at the right time even when their needs are complex and may involve input from multiple teams.
- To have a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit.
