Job summary
You will be a registered Nursing Associate and keen to work in community health as part of a district nursing team. You will be caring for mainly housebound patients in Newham and working a shift pattern Monday to Sunday (early shift is 8am - 4pm, late shift is 12pm - 8pm or long days 08am - 8pm).
You will receive full competency training during your induction, preceptorship (if you are newly qualified), monthly supervision and yearly appraisal. You will also have the opportunity to apply for a secondment to a registered nurse training programme.
You should be highly skilled in delivering compassionate care and reflective practice to ensure that your skills and knowledge are constantly updated.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic person who has excellent communication, IT literate and problem solving skills alongside a passion for patient centered care. Your main duties will include medication management, including insulin, wound care, pressure ulcer care, management of vital signs and nutritional status of patients, catheter care.
