As the Community Deputy Lead Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing leadership for the operational delivery of community-based healthcare, leading a team of dedicated nurses, and working closely with local healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care for patients. Main duties of the job

  • Assist the Community Health Services, Associate Director for Bedford Borough in the leadership, management and coordination of community nursing services, and deputising for the deputy therapy lead when required
  • Build strong relationships with local healthcare providers, community organisations, and stakeholders to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to a team of nurses, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to deliver excellent patient care
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for patients and families, providing guidance and support as required
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Help maintain and improve clinical standards, ensuring that patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care
