Job summary

P2R Community substance misuse service in Bedford hub have a fixed term 12 month contract to cover Maternity leave and secondment

Delivering substance misuse interventions in one-to-one and group settings to service users, assessing and managing their care and risk.

Working in one of the following teams within P2R:

  • Assessment Team
  • Recovery Team
  • Short Treatment Team
  • Friends and Families Team
  • Safeguarding Team
  • Homeless Team

Main duties of the job

  1. Manage a caseload of service users, ensuring effective care planning and risk assessment (This includes short and long term work and will be scaled down based on complexity)
  2. Deliver one-to-one and group interventions for substance misuse in line with agreed job plan
  3. Assess service users, identifying strengths and recovery capital and deliver interventions which support and empower the service user to make changes to their substance use

  • NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent demonstrable skill)
  • direct experience of working with substance misuse

Desirable

  • Transferable skills within health care
  • evidence of certificates

  • GCSE Maths and English Essential.

  • Able to drive and access to car to travel if necessary.
