Community Mental Health Nurse Recovery Worker (CPN)

The Community Recovery Team North, which is located in the London Borough of Hackney, is offering an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking and highly motivated Band 6 Nurse Recovery Worker (CPN) in our busy and stimulating multi-disciplinary service. We welcome all applications from Registered Mental Health Nurses with relevant skills and experience at Band 5 or above.

The advertised vacancy have become available due to some promotional opportunities for existing staff members, with training and development being a core element of support within the team.

Time : 09:00 am - 16:00 pm (Come prepared to be interviewed on the day)

Morning registration: 9:00 AM -10:00 AM (We will not accept candidatesfor the morning session after this time)

Morning Interview : 10 am - 12:30 pm

Afternoon registration: 12:30 - 13:15 pm (We will not accept candidates for the afternoon session after this time)

Afternoon Interview : 13:15 - 16:00 pm

Role : Community Mental Health Nurse

The event is an all day event. Candidates need to register for either the morning session / the afternoon session. Failure to register during the registration periods will mean inability to take part in interview.

Main duties of the job

Within your monthly allocated workload, you will be required to carry a designated caseload of Service Users (CPA ) and work within the Recovery Team duty system as part of a duty rota.

The role requires effective communication and an ability to liaise with a range of local social services or other mental health services e.g. Home Treatment Team etc. You will therefore need to have applicable knowledge and experience within mental health services appropriate to meet the role requirements as defined within the Job Description.

  • Evidence of regular up-dating in practice

Experience

  • Well-developed and suitable experience of working as a qualified RMN
  • Experience of completing full psycho-social assessments and writing reports

  • Suitable experience of working in a community mental health setting.
  • Experience of nurse prescribing or willingness to consider undertaking training as part of professional development
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural, inner city area.
