Job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with relevant post-qualification experience of working in Community Mental Health Teams to undertake a leadership role in the community transformation model. There post holder would be working with service managers, psychological therapies workforce and primary care networks as well as local community organisations and people participation leads to take forward the vision for transformation of psychological therapies within community settings. Excellent interpersonal skills would be required and a capacity to inspire and lead others whilst holding organisation stress for yourself and colleagues.

Main duties of the job

1. Teaching, training, consultation and supervising others within the discipline and members of other disciplines on psychological theory and interventions related to a range of complex psychological presentations.

2. Provision of expert assessment and treatment for complex psychological presentations alongside the provision of support to clinical teams for individual care planning.

3. Participate in the development and implementation of the borough's plans for integrated psychological therapies.

4. Work with senior colleagues to implement principles of transformation for psychological therapies.

5. Work effectively with colleagues across NHS and in VSCE to improve the experience of psychological input.

6. Develop excellent partnerships with service user leads and embed principles of co-production within the psychological offer.
