Job summary
We are looking for 2 experienced Duty Senior Nurses (DSN) to join our new team at Evergreen CAMHS Inpatient Unit an 8 bedded interim General Acute Unit (GAU) for young people of Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK). This will initially be based at Luton and Dunstable Hospital. A substantive unit is in development at Bedford Health Village and is expected to be complete by 2025, meaning career development is available.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the night nursing team, the post holder will offer advice, expertise and support to the clinical team including for new admissions. They will also lead on any clinical and managerial issues and report all relevant information to on call managers (if required) and handover to the day staff.
You will be working within a multi-disciplinary service, supporting and supervising junior staff, and engaging young people.
