An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist / CBT Therapist/Counsellor to join a high performing and creative management team within Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies (THTT). You will be joining a dynamic management team and support the service in delivering the main KPIs by providing creative leadership in developing the talking therapy groups program and supporting the performance and development of a small team of therapists under your direct line management. There will also be an opportunity to deliver supervision for therapists working in the wider team.

Main duties of the job

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the group service provision within Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies by managing group waiting lists and reviewing and introducing new clinical group offers and ensuring sufficient capacity.

The role would be to lead on the delivery and supervision of group-based interventions across modalities with a focus on maintaining clinical effectiveness of groups through face to face and digital platforms. The role would need to ensure that group-based interventions are delivered in a client-oriented and culturally sensitive way.

Essential

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Post Graduate Diploma level or above) with full BABCP accreditation and/or HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist and/or BACP registered Counsellor

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of either managing or coordinating wait lists.
  • Experience in developing services to respond to Service User needs.
  • Work as an experienced therapist with advanced skills in at least one Psychological therapy modality.
  • Excellence and experience in the continuous improvement of high and/or low intensity interventions and coordinating the services of a range of practitioners and providers, with experience of delivering this within primary care and or an IAPT compliant service.
  • Experience of providing an autonomous clinical service to a diverse population.
  • Experience in managing and delivering to the expected performance targets.
  • Excellence and experience in IT and diary management that support own and the service's clinical resources

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
  • Able to provide & receive complex, sensitive or contentious information in a highly emotive and sometimes hostile atmosphere, in a range of relationships and settings.
