CLINICAL TEAM LEAD FOR ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH TEAM AND CO-LEAD EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL TEAM

A Clinical Team Lead is required for the City & Hackney Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Team and co-leading the Emotional and Behavioural Services. The service is based on Homerton Row and John Scott Health Centre. City And Hackney Specialist CAMHS is a long-established service for assessing and treating young people up to the age of 18 years, their families and carers living in the borough and has an excellent reputation. This vacancy has arisen following the previous post holder leaving the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder is be expected to provide clinical leadership to the Adolescent Mental Health Team as well as co-leading the E&B team and contribute to the front door Assessment Clinic.

  • The primary role is to support adolescents experiencing complex and serious mental health problems. The AMHT delivers a robust multidisciplinary team approach offering individual, family and group interventions, which are evidence based and trauma informed.
  • The post is joint with the Emotional & Behavioural team clinical leadership, where the post holder will be required to participate in joint work with, other members of the E&B team in CAMHS and other clinicians from other CAMHS teams.
  • The post is divided as 0.6WTE in AMHT and 0.4WTE in E&BT, exact WTE will depends on candidates contracted hours and needs of both team.
  • The post holder will also be required to provide senior clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, offer consultation to other professionals and agencies and facilitate the development of the team and wider service.
  • The post holder will be required to work with the newly developed Intensive Community Crisis Service works with the AMHT to provide an admission avoidance pathway and stepdown from inpatient admission.
  • The post is a full time post (1WTE) but application will be welcomed from candidates looking to work reduced hours, minimum 0.8WTE.
  • The post holder will be based in C&H CAMHS and John Scott Health Centre.
