Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • Support the Associate Director of People Development in their work to coordinate and deliver a high-quality education and development service with particular focus on statutory and mandatory training.
  • Be the Trust specialist lead for all statutory and mandatory training.
  • Work with other members of the People Development Team to ensure processes are in place to share information about statutory and mandatory training and ensure equality and ease of access.
  • To chair and facilitate internal / external meetings where required.
  • To effectively work with the People Development Team to manage the Trust learning management system (LMS), maximising functionality.
  • Data quality, reporting accuracy, ensuring that key reports provide critical information to support decision making.
  • Manage the transfer of data and information, ensuring the necessary precautions are adhered to ensure all information governance policies are followed.
  • Ensuring a robust quality assurance process in place to ensure data accuracy. Resolve any anomalies encountered with People Information Team.
  • Managing own time to ensure the systems are up to date and ready to produce reports, ensuring any returns are completed on time.
  • Undertake detailed analysis of data and provide clear, concise reports and re-presentation of data to inform and support management action, mandatory training compliance, etc

The post holder will lead the research, develop, and delivery of excellent statutory and mandatory training required for all staff to provide safe delivery of care to service-users and their carers.

Essential

  • A degree and post-graduate qualification e.g., CIPD, or MSc/BA in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of on-going professional development, including relevant high level academic and/or professional qualifications
  • Membership of relevant professional organisations.

Desirable

  • Recognised education or training qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of using HR Systems (ESR/ Totara, OLM/DATALOAD)
  • Experience of analysing and presenting information in a variety of format
  • Experience in working with SMEs to develop effective Statutory and Mandatory training programmes
  • Demonstrable experience in ensuring high levels of Statutory and Mandatory training compliance across all staff groups.
  • Experience of operating at a senior level within a Learning and Development function
  • Experience of commissioning L&D solutions and managing contract with external providers
  • Experience of line managing and developing a team

Knowledge

Essential

  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments in statutory and mandatory training
  • Knowledge of innovative communication methods to promote all learning and development activities.
  • Knowledge of learning and staff record/payroll systems
