Integrated Family Hub-CAMHS Infant Mental Health Practitioner , within integrated CAMHS and Family Hubs

, Band 6 (full time post; 2 year fixed term contract) (Postgraduate Qualification in Infant Mental Health Practice required, with substantial early years' experience)

We are delighted to invite applications for the post of Infant Mental Health Practitioner, working with families with an infant or child (aged 0-5 years).

The post is be based across the Family Hub sites in Luton, funded by Luton Family Hub and supervised by Luton CAMHS.

Family Hubs are centres which provide early help to families, as part of an integrated service approach, to help overcome a range of difficulties and to build stronger relationships. Luton CAMHS is committed to focus early help in the earliest years of a child's life. We have a long history of developing parent-infant and parent-child interventions with Luton's Flying Start team.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this post is to provide therapy-specific interventions (such as Incredible Years, VIPP-SD (Video Feedback Interaction to Promote Positive Parenting and Sensitive Discipline)) and to enable a seamless journey for families in need of more specialist CAMHS support. The post-holder(s) will benefit from the sharing of knowledge and skills with family hub workers, who are also trained early educators and experienced in working with families.

You will be supervised by a CAMHS clinical psychologist and supported by access to a variety of CPD sessions and annual performance appraisal. You will also participate in regular clinical discussions with the multiagency team. ELFT prioritises staff wellbeing, and there are a range of staff wellbeing initiatives to support this.

Luton CAMHS is part of South Bedfordshire Specialist CAMHS within ELFT (East London Foundation Trust). Luton is situated about 30 miles north from London with good road and rail links.
