We are looking for an experienced children's Art Therapists to join our Dunstable MHST. You will be part of a vibrant expanding workforce that is committed to close collaborative working across our local schools.
Main duties of the job
This is a community-based post and will be part of the wider School CAMHS Access Service, with the broader service offering an early intervention service to schools across the whole locality. This post is designed specifically to work alongside, and support the mental health needs of children and young people who CAMHs professionals struggle to engage with, due to significant conduct related difficulties such as exclusion from mainstream schooling, anti-social and/or offending behaviour, safeguarding issues and conduct disorder. The service will be delivered through Special schools and mainstream schools within Central Bedfordshire. The post-holder will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and individual and group therapeutic interventions using models such as NVR and multi-family groups, as well as staff training and consultation.
The service provides a holistic Thrive model of care, with the CAMH CAS offering the first two quadrants, Giving Advice and Getting Help, and where necessary, stepping up into our multi-disciplinary Getting More Help and Risk Management services.

To support you in this role, you will receiveregular, separate clinical and management supervision sessions, access to a variety of CPD sessions, and annual performance appraisals.The work of the teamis managed and supervised by the Schools Pathway Team Operational Lead which is strongly supported by our experienced CAS Clinical Lead and Lead for Psychological Therapies whom is involved in all aspects of professional and service development.
You will join a Trust with an amazing track record of arts therapies development, research and support. ELFT have over 75 arts therapists contributing into all of our care pathways. There are excellent opportunities for support including a specific Trust wide arts therapies CPD programme and supervision support.
