CAMHS Clinical Support WorkerCAMHS Crisis TeamBand 4 - 37.5 hours per week - permanent
North Bedfordshire CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Pathway.
This is a very exciting time to join our rapidly developing North Bedfordshire CAMHS service.
As part of The North Bedfordshire admission avoidance strategy we are excited to be able to offer an opportunity for 2 Band 4 Support workers to join our Crisis/Home treatment team.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate and creative candidate looking to gain more experience working with young people and families with complex mental health needs who require a higher level of support in the community.
Main duties of the job
The Crisis/Home treatment team are multi-disciplinary teams comprised of social workers, therapists, nurses, psychologists, and support workers who work with young people who have the most complex mental health problems and/or are presenting in crisis and may be in need of an inpatient admission.
Unlike other CAMHS pathways, we are able to offer a flexible and more intensive approach to those who need it and work closely with other professionals to avoid the need for young people to be referred to mental health inpatient units. Our Clinical Support Workers are therefore an important and valued part of the team, undertaking a wide range of work with young people and their families.
Both Teams offer individual, family and group interventions which are centered around the young person and their family/carers; we therefore welcome applications from people who are enthusiastic, passionate and flexible and who are good at communicating and engaging with others. We are looking for people who are are good team players but who can also work on their own when required.
Our clinically-led service is strongly committed to continuously improving the experience and quality of care we offer our families. The successful post holder will therefore directly contribute to the positive working environment within the team and will be encouraged identify ways in which we might improve the service we are able to deliver.
