We are looking for a highly specialist Child Psychotherapist/ Parent infant Psychotherapist, for this much valued and successful post.
City & Hackney are a trailblazer site for the national Perinatal workstream of the Family Hubs project. We have agreed funding for two senior full-time posts in PIP, working alongside the postholder to extend our system's work in supporting a Solihul Approach locally. The postholder will be an important member of this exciting development.
The post-holder will contribute to the development of the service with clinical cases, providing teaching, consultation and training.
The post holder will hold a small caseload, including Under 5 transition cases from perinatal services within the Emotional and Behavioural Team (E&B) in City & Hackney CAMHS (2 sessions) alongside the shared systemic therapist post holder working in perinatal service and E&B.
The post holder will work alongside a vibrant Child Psychotherapy Team to promote and integrate infant mental health across the CAMHS service.
This is an exciting and rewarding post and we are looking for an experienced Clinician to take forward the outstanding work established by the former post holder.
Main duties of the job
To provide a specialist peri-natal assessment and treatment service within City & Hackney CAMHS, (8/10 sessions) enhancing existing maternal, perinatal and early years health services and parenting programmes to strengthen attachment between parent and child, avoid early trauma, build resilience and improve behaviour by ensuring parents have access to evidence-based programmes of intervention and support.
