Job summary

We are committed to the development of a recovery-orientated service. Our Recovery College offers an educational approach to supporting people with their recovery journey. Our courses are co-produced by experts by personal experience alongside experts by professional training. We are looking to recruit applicants with strong demonstrable commitment to recovery with experience of working/supporting people with mental health conditions.

This is a countywide role covering Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide managerial and professional lead for the Recovery College. Support and guide the team in developing partnership and strategic pathways, working within our integrated model which brings together primary care, social care, mental health services, the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector to provide joined-up, flexible and recovery based offer for all our local communities.

This post is in the Bedfordshire and Luton Mental health and wellbeing services directorate. The Recovery College will be delivered by working with ELFT Peer Tutors, carers and staff in partnership with a range of statutory and third sector organisations across the directorate. The post holder will be expected to forge and maintain partnerships across a range of organisations to delivering the college to support the individual journey to recovery and social inclusion and wellbeing.

This post holder will be required to develop and deliver the strategic vision of the college delivering the implementation of the Recovery College ensuring the quality and consistency of College provision in the Directorate and ensuring that students, carers and staff are active partners in the co-production process.
