Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated consultant endoscopist to build on their advanced skills in a role that includes high-volume therapeutic endoscopy, participation in the multidisciplinary team (MDT) of their choice, and the development of a specialist clinic aligned with their expertise.
The post holder will typically deliver 5-6 endoscopy lists per week, undertaking diagnostic and advanced therapeutic work. The job plan is flexible and can be tailored to the successful candidate's skills, interests and circumstances, including either permanent or fixed-term arrangements where appropriate.
The post holder will contribute to the supervision, teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff, medical students, specialist nurses and endoscopy fellows, and will participate in audit, quality improvement and research activity within the endoscopy unit and gastroenterology directorate.
