Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity for Clinical Support Workers to become part of of our D1 Gastroenterology team. Ward D1 is a very busy 25 inpatient clinical speciality ward.

We have 3 positions all full time (37.5 hrs) permanent Band 3 Clinical Support Worker posts (part time will be considered). The position includes internal rotation to nights and includes weekends.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the individual needs of patients and their families. The post holder is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks involving direct patient care in support of and supervised by an Assistant Practitioner/Registered Nurse, maintaining a high standard of quality patient care and staff morale through personal example, good conduct and appearance.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills gained from previous experience / roles and ideally be familiar with hospital computer systems or equivalent (training will be provided) and have good IT skills.
