Health Care Assistant- Ward D8

Job summary

We are looking for a motivated and committed individual to join our team on Ward D8, a dynamic 6-bed assessment area and 18-bedded surgical/urology unit. D8 is fast-paced, clinically focused, and ideal for those who thrive in a rewarding frontline environment where excellent patient care is at the centre of everything we do.

As a busy ward, we require individuals with a strong commitment to high standards of patient care. You must be able to deliver quality, compassionate care and help maintain an efficient, safe, and patient-centred service.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with:

In this role, you will support patients with fundamental aspects of care, including:

  • Personal hygiene and toileting
  • Feeding and nutritional support
  • Mobility and general comfort

Main duties of the job

Excellent strong sense of teamwork and commitment to maintaining high standards of care to provide high quality, compassionate care for our patients and their families and ensure that efficient service delivery is maintained.

Enthusiastic and motivated.

Caring nature, good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.

To work closely with the nursing team delivering fundamental care to patients including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting needs, feeding and mobility.

Part of the team approach to avoiding risk and providing the highest quality care.
