Senior Pharmacy Production Operator

Job summary

A Senior Production Operator is required to carry out a range of duties as part of a busy team within the Pharmaceutical Production Unit. This can include the Aseptic, Sterile and Non-Sterile production units. All work is performed in a 'clean-room' environment, which requires changing into and working in specialised clothing and some confirmed areas.

Stockport Pharmaceuticals production unit supplies pharmaceutical 'specials' to hospitals throughout the National Health Service and to community pharmacies.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake the routine preparation of all 'products' produced at Stockport Pharmaceuticals under the terms of the Medicines Licence (specials).
  • Carry out under supervision
    • Aseptic manufacturing
    • Sterile manufacturing
    • Non-sterile manufacturing
    • Repacking of solid dose product
    • Over labelling
    • Anaphylaxis drug pack preparation/replacement
  • Develop technical skills to perform these duties carefully and accurately, with a requirement to concentrate
  • To be personally responsible for strictly following all procedures and Guidance documents to ensure a quality product is produced to Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.) standards.
  • To wear the designated 'clean room' clothing correctly and work at a level that maintains the required environmental stands essential to the production.
  • Develop a conscientious attitude in order to provide a co-ordinated and effective service.
