Catering Assistant Band 2 - Permanent position - 12.5 hours per week

Stockport NHS Foundation Trusts, Stepping Hill Hospital are holding a job fair on Wednesday 22 October 2025 for opportunities within the estates and facilities team.

We are looking to fill a variety of positions including Catering Assistant!

The open day will take place between 4-7pm in Stockport NHS Foundation Trusts, Stepping Hill Hospital

Main duties of the job

The main duties for the successful applicants are wide ranging and in brief cover the following :

To be part of the team involved in maintaining the extremely high standards of hygiene within the department following departmental cleaning sheets and guidelines.

To serve on the patient conveyor belt making up patient food orders.

To deliver patient food trolleys to the wards.

To serve within the staff visitoroutlets including the tills.

To assist making up salads and sandwiches as required.

To assist working on the dish washer.

To carry out any general food prep or cleaning around the site as required by the management team.
