Full-Time Position: 37.5 Hours per Week

The Healthcare Assistant role is key to ensuring that our nursing teams are supported to deliver consistently, high quality, patient centered care.

As a healthcare Assistant you will be expected to work within our dedicated multi-disciplinary teams and be involved in providing individualised care whilst contributing to the safety and cleanliness of the environment and keeping good documentation.
Responsibility for Patient Care
- Under the supervision of a registered nurse to assist with patient care activities.
- To maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- To carry out any tasks required to maintain the safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the ward area.
- To carry out duties as required, meeting all aspects of ward care.
- To carry out routine household management/maintenance activities.
- To maintain patient dignity.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals in order to provide patients with exceptional care.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £45.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
