We are looking an enthusiastic hard working staff nurse to join our busy, ever expanding Urology department, working 24 hours per week, on a permanent
We provide a wide range of both award winning inpatient and outpatient Urological services. The Urology unit opened in 1989 and was one of the first of it's kind in the country. Our team of Urological Surgeons and Urology Specialist Nurses run a patient centred service at Stepping Hill, Tameside, and Macclesfield. We also have a close link with the Christie cancer centre. We offer benign and oncology services including nurse led clinics and diagnostic procedure clinics.
You will be involved in assisting in diagnostic procedure clinics such as flexible cystoscopies, Urodynamics, local anaesthetic prostate biopsies, TULA, Lithotripsy and Botox.
You will be caring for the patient whilst they are in the department ensuring safety and quality of care.
Urology experience preferable. Training will be provided.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for effectively delivering skilled nursing care to patients using a systemic approach of assessing planning, implementing and evaluating to ensure a high standard of care in an outpatient/ day case area.
They will proactively engage with patients, relatives and carers to seek their views, gain agreement and keep them informed about their treatment and care. They will demonstrate compassion by recognising and responding to individual needs in a warm, thoughtful, sensitive and helpful way.
