Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer
34 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across both Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside and Glossop Integrated care NHS Foundation Trust as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer. There has never been a better time to come and join both Trusts that wants to put EDI at the centre of our people agenda. Is this you or someone you know?
Main duties of the job
This post will work across both Trusts to help shape our EDI agenda and embed it as a fundamental part of our way of working and create a culture of inclusion. You will work closely with People and Organisational Development teams, networking across all levels of the organisation, including our equality networks. We want diversity of experience too, so NHS experience is great to have, but not essential. If you have experience working in EDI and delivering on projects and/or EDI training programs this may be just the role for you.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Contribute to the development of policy, guidance and resources for managers and colleagues at all levels to enable them to support staff and to promote best practice
- To prepare and deliver relevant reports, documentation and briefing papers to a variety of key internal and external groups ensuring effective communication and implementation of subsequent actions.
- To design and deliver EDI training and other interventions.
- Plan and deliver EDI events as required.
- To link with and represent the organisation at local and national equality and diversity networks and agencies, developing effective networks, forums and communication channels championing the work of the organisation
- To facilitate the sharing of best practice and information through effective evidence gathering and updates to key stakeholders.
- Engage with external networks to ensure the work of the EDI Team is informed and influenced by best
