Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Business Intelligence team as we continue to implement our data warehouse and develop Tableau business intelligence visualisations, transforming data into intelligence to support performance management, effective decision making, and service improvement.

Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering , you will communicate effectively with staff at all levels to interpret their needs and build elegant reporting solutions. Highly developed specialist knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and its associated tools (SSIS, SSRS and SSAS) will be required, and you must be familiar with the Kimball data modelling approach.

The post-holder will play a key role in the development of the Trust data warehouse, building robust ETL processes that pull data from multiple clinical systems into the Trust data warehouse. You will also be skilled in data visualisation, delivering insightful and impactful analytics using Tableau.

At a time when demand for robust information to support business planning and transformation is increasing and the NHS information agenda is rapidly changing, the ability to work as a flexible team member is essential.

The post is offered on a hybrid working pattern, working two days a week in the office as you will be expected to attend face to face meetings and provide support to colleagues working on-site.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated individual to join our team, someone with the skills and experience to lead the development of the data warehouse for certain subject areas and clinical systems.

You will have excellent communication skills, working with colleagues across clinical and operational teams to understand complex reporting requirements; you will develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with staff across all levels of the Trust and will develop new and innovative reporting solutions.

You will support in all areas of data warehouse management and development including but not limited to: new data feeds, data quality, IG considerations, remedy of issues, permissions management, user support and requests.
